wxDFast (also known as wxDownload Fast) is a free and open source download manager which supports many of the protocols and features that a paid, shareware download manager would have. It can run on multiple operating systems (such as Windows or Linux or Max OS X) and can download files multi-threaded. Multi-threaded support with segmented downloads promises faster file retrieval from the servers you're downloading files from.
With wxDownload Fast, files will be split up into separate parts and downloaded separately, promises faster download speeds and with the ability to start and resume files which you have started to download.
